The R-GAS-FLAMMABLE sensor has undergone rigorous UL9540A Unit Level testing by a leading Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) OEM. • Faster Hydrogen Detection: In one Stage 3 testing (Thermal Runaway), the sensor detected Hydrogen 42 seconds before another legacy H2 gas detector (which triggered the purge system) and 55 seconds before the fire alarm activated.


• Mitigation Advantage: That extra time window could be used to immediately activate purging (fan + vents), reducing the chance that an explosive gas mixture accumulates and lingers inside the enclosure.


• Multi-Gas Confirmation: The sensor successfully detected six different flammable gases, twice, confirming both its high sensitivity and repeatable performance in identifying offgas and thermal runaway conditions.

Installation & Wiring

• Mounting options: 0U rack, DIN rail, wall mount and magnetic — plus the earth grounding requirement for ESD protection.
• Screwless terminal blocks: step-by-step wire insertion, 16-24 AWG solid wire.
• 12-24VDC power-up, polarity verification, and when a Zener diode is required (supplies in the 15-20V band, or above 24V ±10%).
• Relay terminal limits and the SELV / PELV / Class 2 external power requirement.

Firmware is loaded onto the detector with the Prevent-iON Mobile App over the AX-USB-RJ45 adapter. No PC is required and the detector does not need to be removed from site.

Current Listed Firmware — Version 4.41.17

The version covered by the current ETL listing to UL 2075. Use this release for any installation where the listing has to be maintained. It includes the extended LED status indications and the revised humidity logic (no nuisance faults above 60g/m³ absolute humidity, introduced in 4.41.09).

Pre-Release Firmware — Version 4.41.18 (Certification Pending)

Version 4.41.18 introduces the Secondary Trigger Source, enabling detector-level Cross-Zoning: a relay activates only when two independently configured trigger conditions are both met (AND logic). This release is currently under evaluation and is not yet covered by the ETL / UL 2075 listing.
